So hey, remember when Temtem developer Crema Games said it wasn’t going to be adding new creatures to its crowdfunded MMORPG because it wasn’t a big enough draw in terms of player numbers? Evidently, the upcoming crowdfunded survival sandbox Temtem Pioneers will have new creatures. They were just hiding in the Downbelow region, we suppose.
“A frontier as unexplored and intriguing as the Downbelow houses many of the Temtem that populate the Archipelago, but there are also some new creatures that the Tamers above have never seen before,” the studio announces. “As a castaway in the Downbelow, you’ll be one of the first Tamers to meet these new species.”
One of these new Tems is Bellora, a neutral/nature type creature that basically looks like an upright-walking cow with some plants on its body for good measure. Despite its docile appearance, it’s described as a fierce fighter that will go to great lengths to protect its territory or its tamer. More new Tems are likely to be unveiled later, but for now, moo cow.
Checking on the Kickstarter drive’s progress, we see it has crested over $230K in raised funds, which locks down the creation of a crystal biome for the game’s world. The next stretch goal is the addition of “fossil Tems” that will be unlocked at 250K euros, or over $295K.
