Do you think you can take the HEAT, tank boi? Well now is the time to find out because Wargaming’s self-described “hero-driven tank game” World of Tanks: HEAT has officially made its free-to-play launch today just like it promised.
“Built from the ground up on a proprietary engine, the game delivers fast-paced armored combat with a diverse roster of unique Agents and a wide selection of experimental vehicles.”
The game’s official launch season is already underway, granting players the opportunity to unlock five more characters and their tanks through the game’s free weekly battle passes on top of the three heroes already available. Otherwise there are a total of 15 different vehicles that become available, eight different maps, and four PvP modes.
WOT: Heat has landed on PC via Steam and Wargaming’s own bespoke launcher as well as on the PlayStation 5 and Xbox X|S consoles. Naturally there are launch trailers — one with gameplay and one that’s with in-game cinematics — that can be watched just below.
