Catch up on BlizzCon’s panels about the cozy housing of WoW Midnight and the new zones of WoW Forever

Will there be housing in World of Warcraft Forever at some point? Will the new zones and races work their way into World of Warcraft’s modern version? Neither of those questions are answered or addressed in two BlizzCon panels now available for separate viewing, which makes sense because they’re not the point. The crafting coziness panel is very specifically about the journey of bringing housing to the retail game after years of players longing for it and asking with varying degrees of patience, as well as showing off what’s in the pipeline ahead for the game. For example, the first attempt at housing tried to shove housing into Stormwind and Orgrimmar… except that it ran into the simple problem that there’s not much space left in either city for housing to even go.

There might seem to be not that many spaces to add extra zones in WoW Forever either, to be fair, but the team is definitely working on it. The idea is to keep evolving an otherwise timeless world, which means keeping the version of Azeroth that actually existed and the version that players tend to remember it. In addition, the goal is to take existing zones and breathe new life into them, so places like Azshara, Theramore, and the Wetlands feel as vibrant and novel as they did when you first played the game ages ago. Take a look at both panels down below.
