Who’s ready for more PUBG? Before you all rush to raise your hands, know that Krafton is indeed putting forth another new game from the battle royale’s universe in the form of PUBG: DED.NET, a free-to-play multiplayer roguelite FPS that invites players into a fictional region of the Pacific Northwest circa 1996 that definitely has a sort of style to it.
The crux of the game appears to be pretty simple, as players head into a wide assortment of locations in the fictitious area known as Cascadia to scavenge for goodies. Of course being a roguelite, dying is part of the game loop, with the promise of each run letting players carry over abilities and injuries between runs to create new tactical choices for their characters.
If running and gunning in someone’s idea of a chaotic PNW sounds like your bag, then the game is hosting a closed beta test for PlayStation 5 and Xbox X|S players from now until Monday, October 12th. Those who are interested in trying it out will have to register their interest on the game’s site and have a Krafton player account. Otherwise a trailer can be seen below to get a sense of this one beforehand.
