Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 has released their “Thank You” update after winning Game of the Year at The Game Awards. This free update adds a ton of new content, featuring a new zone, more music, challenging boss battles, a photo mode, and more.
However, you’ll need to progress fairly far into the game and unlock one of Esquie’s abilities to reach the new zone.

How to start the ‘Thank You’ update in Clair Obscur: Expedition 33
To access Verso’s Draft in the “Thank You” update in Clair Obscur: Expedition 33, you’ll first need to meet the following prerequisites:
- Reach Act 3
- Unlock Esquie’s underwater ability (Relationship level 6 with Esquie)
After you meet the mentioned criteria, head to the Continent and pan your map to the bottom-right corner to find a new island just southeast of Lumiere.
What to expect from the ‘Thank You’ update in Clair Obscur: Expedition 33
The “Thank You” update is adding a lot of free content to Clair Obscur: Expedition 33. In addition to Verso’s Draft, you’ll encounter the following:
- Four extra boss battles in the paintings inside the Endless Tower
- Photo mode
- Additional costumes
- New luminas and weapons
- The “Old Key” quest item in the last area of the game (was previously only available in the prologue)
- Lumina Sets (allowing you to save lumina loadouts)
- New music by Lorien Testard
