Usually a corporation-specific presentation is going to be filled with double-speak and other language that makes investor brains release the happy juice and make gamers mostly indifferent. However, there are a few tidbits that are likely of interest to MMO fans that came from its capital markets briefing. But also, yeah, it had lots of corpo double-speak.

In terms of what’s most relevant to gamer interests, Nexon confirmed that it would be expanding on the Dungeon & Fighter IP through several new games including an idle RPG later this year, the 2009 throwback release Dungeon & Fighter Classic in 2027, and nods once again to previously discussed games including the PC, console, and mobile game Dungeon & Fighter: ARAD and the open world multiplayer RPG Project: OVERKILL for PC and mobile.

Other game-specific highlights in the presentation include reception to UGC platform MapleStory Worlds, word of over 37,000 concurrent players during the recent closed alpha for extraction game Nakwon: Last Paradise along with a 2027 release window for the game, and at least some acknowledgment that Vindictus: Defying Fate is still A Thing.

In terms of wider games business-related announcements, Nexon also confirmed that it will be partnering with Tencent to bring The Finals, ARC Raiders, and The First Berzerker: Khazan to China, and will also work with Blizzard to bring Overwatch to Korean fans later this year.

Last but certainly not least on the business side of things is confirmation of its new AI tool known as Mono Lake, which will be used to gather player interaction data across Nexon’s games and provide them to its dev teams to guide design decisions for their titles. “We’re training AI on billions of player interactions that give context to every decision our people make, from game design to live service support,” crowed Nexon CEO Junghun Lee. “Our methodology doesn’t replace creative people, it frees them to create with context.”
