Although cheaters aren’t welcome in any multiplayer experience, their presence in a title like ARC Raiders, where a distinct lack of safety is baked into its very design, is especially egregious.
Embark’s been coming down hard on cheating in the game, though, and has just completed rolling out its Denuvo Anti-Cheat system to ensure fair play as much as it can for a player base that’s quite large with some significant play time since release. The studio’s keeping a close eye out for potential glitches or bugs, remaining vigilant as it tries to ensure the best possible experience for all its players.
The studio isn’t stopping there, however, as it’s finalizing plans to detect cheats as early as possible. It’s also working to ensure offenders are stopped from repeating their transgressions while false positives are minimized. “We are working on a more extensive update on our efforts towards fair play, which we’ll share as soon as it’s ready.”
It’s a solid approach, given that Embark is taking its time while sustaining the level of quality that ARC Raiders has earned a reputation for. Despite shifting to two yearly updates (much to the chagrin of fans), the studio has been on point with updates, the most recent being bringing changes to Free Kits during certain map conditions. Stay tuned for more details and check out our review of the base game to see if it’s worth playing.
