The Dragon’s Stone Chamber puzzle in Crimson Desert is one of the many ancient ruins and hidden spaces scattered around Pywel. The chamber is hidden near the Greymane’s camp and there are different rumors about what is locked behind its doors. Once you get inside, you’re met with three turning wheels and a mysterious map that will send you across Hernand.
Here’s how to solve the Dragon’s Stone Chamber puzzle in Crimson Desert, offering some hints before giving you the straight answer.
Dragon’s Stone Chamber location in Crimson Desert
The Dragon’s Stone Chamber entrance is located inside a massive natural opening in the Hernand Highlands area. To get there, go southeast of the Howling Hill, toward the question mark that indicates a source of mysterious energy in the region. You’ll most likely first notice this question mark as you approach your house near your camp, which you’ll unlock after you complete “A Fresh Start.”
Head south from your home until you reach a large hole in the ground. Before you jump in though, be sure to locate an opening in the wall on the northwest side. Your goal is to glide into the opening, otherwise you’ll need to climb up the wall from the bottom. We recommend gliding in from the southeast side of the top of the hole.
Once you make it, you’ll find a wall with a painted mural and a door. Hold out your lantern to collect the memories in the area and then equip the Visione to watch it.
To get inside the chamber, push the painted door on the mural until you can freely move around. Along the wall, you’ll find a map with three red check marks and a pit that contains three rotating discs.
How to solve the Dragon’s Stone Chamber puzzle in Crimson Desert
To solve the Dragon’s Stone Chamber puzzle, you’ll need to rotate the three discs to their proper orientation, but you won’t immediatley know which way is up. Since Crimson Desert is all about exploration, we will first give you a few hints on how to find the solution on your own.
The only clue available is a map which has been painted on both the chamber’s west and east walls. The light isn’t great, so point your lantern at any of them. On the map, there are three red check marks — which, in gaming terms, indicate something important to look at. Your next challenge is to identify where on the enormous in-game map the area represented by the painting is located.
If you’re having a hard time and you’re looking for a clue, here’s a hint: the structure in the top right is the House of Healing.

After solving the puzzle and placing the three discs in the right position, a door on the north wall of the Dragon’s Stone Chamber will open, revealing the precious reward: an abyss cresset holding an abyss artifact.
While the puzzle doesn’t reward you with a powerful weapon or gold, the prize is still useful. By unlocking this abyss cresset, you have access to a fast travel station close to your home, albeit at the bottom of a pit. Luckily, there are some diamonds in the cave nearby!
