We hope you weren’t looking forward to playing Soloria, the self-described “fake massively multiplayer offline roleplaying game” from former Dungeons & Dragons Online developer Tonquin. That’s because he’s apparently decided to fully cancel its development in favor of a new games industry job that he’s landed full-time.
“I’m thrilled to take this next step in my career, but it means I am making the decision to end development of Soloria so I can focus on the new gig,” Tonquin writes. “I’m pushing one last update to Steam to remove the Discord links and fix a few last bugs, but after that, all of my focus is going to be on where I’m headed next!”
Indeed, the game’s official Discord has since been given the axe, and while its Steam page is still online, that’s because the demo that released earlier this month will still remain downloadable and playable regardless. So if, for whatever reason, you want to taste a sample of an MMO-inspired title that will now never come out, have at it.
