Welcome back to another roundup of MMOs and MMO-adjacent multiplayer games you’ve never heard of! Yes, you did read the title of this story correctly; there is a game named MurderCartel in this round-up. We promise we’ll get to that. Sometimes you need to ramp up into this kind of madness, y’know?
Heroic Legends
We’ll begin with the most normal-sounding of the lot, Heroic Legends, which is a rebuilt and re-released version of the 2011 mobile MMORPG of the same name. This free-to-play title lets players choose from three races, find hundreds of items, and face off in PvP, guild battles, or against massive monsters. The game’s return to iOS and Android is set for Saturday, September 5th.
Never Wither
Our next game is Never Wither, a game we first covered this past March; it’s a multiplayer survival crafting RPG where players can collect various creatures and directly control them for use in battle. The latest news from developer Geo Seed Games is word of a playable demo arriving on Tuesday, October 20th, as part of the Steam Next Fest, where players can check out the starting area of Verdant Valley and its 19 different species of critters.
MurderCartel
Last is the odd one of the bunch, at least in terms of name: MurderCartel, a 2-D MMORPG that promises classic features like lots of monsters and bosses to battle, multiple crafting and gathering professions, hundreds of pieces of gear, and plenty of player trading. The current version of the game can be played on a web browser right now, but it’s also coming to Steam on Thursday, September 10th. At least according to its official site, anyway.
