Fans of smaller-scale cozy little multiplayer titles are absolutely feasting this year. We’ve already gotten word of one game’s upcoming arrival, we’ve gotten horses and highlands in another, and now the two-person team at Cyberwave and indie publisher rokaplay have announced that multiplayer airship-centered survival sandbox Solarpunk has made its promised release today, June 8th.
For those who haven’t been following along, Solarpunk places up to four players in a world of floating islands and renewable energy-powered crafting in a pressure-free survival sandbox. Players can gather, craft, farm, build their own airships to explore new islands, and automate things like resource harvesting. The game will set you back $23, unless you already own it through Kickstarter; backers pledged around $330K back in 2023.
On top of the game’s release, Cyberwave also announced in a new trailer that Solarpunk will be available on Xbox Game Pass, which is on top of its arrival to Xbox X|S, PlayStation 5, PC, and Nintendo Switch 2. That trailer can be enjoyed below.
