Following several teases, Rockstar Games announced Grand Theft Auto 6: The Album – the official soundtrack for its upcoming open-world title. With artists like Travis Scott, Keith Richards, Morgan Wallen, and more, it’s sure to become a collector’s item on CD and vinyl. However, the post also mentioned upcoming details about the music.

That includes the “dynamic score” and “the next evolution of in-game radio”, among other things. What that could mean is ultimately unknown, though the former isn’t necessarily new to video games. DOOM (2016), Hades, Celeste, and more have all featured scores which change depending on the situation or when transitioning between locations.

It’s the “next evolution of in-game radio” which is more intriguing. Spotify has been advertising the title’s soundtrack recently, so maybe it will feature some in-game integration. Some also theorize that you can listen to music on the go, which would be a first for the series, where the radio tracks have been left primarily in vehicles.

Time will tell, but time is also quickly counting down to Grand Theft Auto 6’s launch on November 19th for Xbox Series X/S and PS5. Next year looks even busier, with Twitch CEO Dan Clancy claiming that multiplayer could become available. While Rockstar didn’t confirm the next Grand Theft Auto Online, Take-Two CEO Strauss Zelnick noted that support for the current iteration would continue.
