Fight monsters. Level up. PvP with your friends. Find shiny loot. All of the usual hallmarks of an open world MMORPG are here, but the major defining feature of Stick Universe, as its name suggests, is the fact that it’s all in a 2-D world of stick people going on stick adventures. Stickventures, if you will.
This solo indie effort is currently having an open public playtest that is admitted by its dev as a bit light on content, with 12 unique mobs, 20 different weapons, two major zones with two sub-zones each, and 35 unique hats, which are apparently a primary source of character power. That said, it is completely free-to-play with no ads, subscriptions, or microtransactions.
Assuming that a hand-drawn open platformer MMO is up your alley, you’re welcome to download the file from the game’s Itch.io page, and players are also welcome to provide their feedback in the game’s Discord.
