The Solar Power Plant is the first sector in Pragmata, and it has three blocks: Generator Entrance, Power Distribution Center, and The Concourse.

In this walkthrough, we’ll be guiding you through the prologue and the Solar Power Plant, while also 100%-ing the sector. This means you’ll find all the storage expanders, safe boxes, pure lunum, mods, cartridge holders, and REMs. We will lead you to some of the upgrade components and Mini Cabin figures along the way, but, as they don’t count toward the sector’s progress, we will be skipping a few along the way. Instead, please check out our Solar Power Plant upgrade component locations guide and Mini Cabin figure locations guide.

Here’s how to complete the Solar Power Plant in Pragmata and 100% the sector.

[Ed. note: This guide contains spoilers for Pragmata, so continue at your own risk! Feel free to follow along or bookmark this page and come back if you get stuck.]

Prologue

Once you gain control of Hugh, follow the path ahead until you reach Ken and Nicholas. A short cutscene will play showing a huge “3D printer” on the moon. Once it’s over, turn to the left and continue along the path where you’ll find James, who will teach you how to use your thrusters.

Jump onto the white cargo lifted by the forklift, and hop over to the platform on the right where you’ll find a lunafilament, which looks like a small blue cube. Jump up to the next platform and step onto the stack of panels, just across from the blue tarp. Jump and hold jump to activate your thrusters and float across to the other side. From here, turn to the right, use your thrusters to make it onto the large pile of boxes in the middle of the room, and lastly, over to the platform where James is standing.

Continue to the end of the hallway toward the rubble, which will start another cutscene, showing disaster has struck the lunar base. Once it’s over, you’ll quickly be thrust into the combat tutorial. Shoot all of your bullets into the robot to find that you do little to no damage, and the little girl will start hacking it instead. To hack the enemy, hold down the aim button and make your way to the green square to complete the target.

  • For mouse and keyboard players, you’ll need to hold Alt (or Mouse 5 if your mouse has side buttons) and drag your mouse.
  • For controller players, you’ll need to use Y/Triangle (↑), B/Circle (→), A/X (↓), and X/Square (←) to move around the grid.

Additionally, as you’re navigating the grid, make sure to go through the blue nodes to increase how much damage the hack does and how long enemies are exposed for. Once the hack is complete, the robot will become vulnerable. Shoot the light blue areas with your gun to deal more damage and defeat them.

Interact with the door to realize its locked, but, with your new friend, you can hack the door to unlock it. This hack functions a little differently, but mouse and keyboard players will still need to hold Alt or a side button to initiate the hack. Aim at the door and press the respective buttons to rotate them into position. Head inside and press Q or B/Circle to use a repair cartridge.

Continue through the door, drop down to the lower platform, and start making your way to the tram in the distance. On the way, the large hanging container ahead of you will shift and reveal more enemies for you to hack and defeat. After you defeat them, you’ll need to hack the large container to move it out of the way. Repeat this process until you make it to the tram, where you’ll learn that the girl is actually a pragmata (who you name Diana for short) and reach the Shelter.

Shelter

The Shelter acts as your hub in Pragmata, and you’ll find the following stations:

  • Firmware Updater: Allows you to upgrade your suit (health and defense), Grip Gun, and hacking ability at the cost of upgrade cores.
  • Unit Printer: Print and upgrade weapons, hacking nodes, and attachments at the cost of lunafilament.
  • REM Replicator: Displays REMs that you find around sectors.

As you’ve just arrived, you can’t actually use any of these stations yet, but you can talk to Diana for the time being. Once you’re done chatting with her, continue on toward the tram. At the tram station, you can adjust your weapon loadout and mods, but, once again, you unfortunately don’t have any at the moment. Ride the tram to the Power Plant Platform station in the first sector, the Solar Power Plant.

Generator Entrance walkthrough in Pragmata

After you ride the tram, you’ll arrive in the first block, the Generator Entrance. Before you venture in, make sure to interact with the electronic sign just ahead and explore the small room to the left to find an upgrade component.

As the power is out, you can’t interact with any of the doors, so follow the path ahead until you reach the open doorway. Turn to the right and hack the power source at the end of the hallway to restore power to the Solar Power Plant. Turn around to find that the 3D printing station made a robot. Defeat them and head back the way you came.

In the hallway, you’ll find lasers blocking your way back. Jump and dodge in the air by pressing Ctrl or RB/R1 midair. Our goal is the large doorway to the right of the large screen, but feel free to go into the other locked room to learn some more lore.

Head through the door and follow the path to the right. There will be a door blocked by spikes on your right, but you can’t remove those for now, so continue on the path. At the end of the hall, there is a large locked door that you can unlock by hacking two objects, but before you reach it, a flying robot will come out of the wall. Defeat it first and then look to the right of the door to find the first hackable object.

Start the hack as you would with any other hack, but, this time, you’ll need to press the button on the outermost ring first and work your way inward. Once you finish the hack, one of the red circles on the door will turn blue. Turn around and go through the doorway on your right to find an upgrade component on the left and the second hackable object on the right. Complete the hack to unlock the door, which will lead the way to the second block, the Power Distribution Center.

To 100% the Generator Entrance, you’ll need to progress further into the story and return once you unlock the ability to remove the spikes.

Follow the path and drop down into the hall below, where three enemies will appear. Hack and defeat them to unlock the room ahead, which contains an escape hatch. This can be used to return to the Shelter and upgrade your gear, but it’ll also respawn all enemies.

Once you’re ready to proceed, head through the door ahead and follow the path to the left where you’ll find a few moving lasers and an upgrade component. Jump over the lasers and walk ahead to the locked door to see that you’ll need to hack five power terminals to unlock it. Luckily, the first is just to the right of the door. After you hack it, turn around and look up to find another hackable terminal. This one isn’t one of the power terminals, but it’ll turn off the lasers found around the room, making it a little easier to explore.

Drop down the ledge on your right to find an elevator just ahead of you and another power terminal and a shockwave gun at the opposite side of the room. Grab the weapon and try to hack the terminal, which will instead spawn a few enemies and create a wall blocking the path behind you. Defeat them and hack the terminal. With that done, turn around and go up the elevator.

Hop from the blue tarp on the floor to the next platform and defeat the nearby robots. Continue jumping up the platforms to find the next power terminal and hack it, leaving two more to go. Before you leave, look over the edge to spot two upgrade components below you. Feel free to grab these, but first, there’s another power terminal nearby for you to hack.

Return back to the previous platform and this time, follow the lunafilament to the other side of the room, where you’ll find a stasis net and another power terminal.

After you’ve hacked the terminal, go through the holographic yellow gate to your left, where you’ll be trapped in a small corridor with two enemies. We recommend using the stasis net to keep them in place while you hack and defeat them. Once they’re defeated, look up to the ceiling where you’ll find the last power terminal.

Continue through the hallway where you’ll find a Mini Cabin figure and an upgrade component on your right. The path ahead is blocked by lunafilament clusters, so instead we’ll have to go to the left and glide down toward the now unlocked door. However, don’t immediately go through the door as there are two safe boxes that you can get in the area.

For the first safe box, walk the opposite direction from the unlocked door and take a left. You’ll find a large robot in the pit below along with two flying robots beside it. Defeat them and head up the stairs. Follow the hallway, but be prepared to jump over a moving laser! Continue to the end of the hallway where you’ll find the first safe box and another enemy.

For the second safe box, head back in the direction you came and ride the elevator back up. At the top, you’ll find a hackable terminal that will change the height of a platform. Make sure to stand on the platform and hack the terminal to raise it. Then, jump over the glass wall beside you. In the corner of the pit, you’ll find the second safe box. To get out of this area, hack the terminal on the wall which will adjust and move a few platforms nearby. Jump from one platform to the next while hacking the terminal in between to reach an upgrade component and a door that will lead you back to the escape hatch.

Return to the unlocked door and grab the upgrade component ahead before dropping into The Concourse.

The Concourse walkthrough in Pragmata

Move into the next room where a cutscene featuring Read Earth Memories (REMs) will start. Once the cutscene is over, you’re free to head into the next room, but make sure to shoot the Mini Cabin figure hidden on one of the beds in this room before you go.

In the next room, you’ll find an escape hatch and a blue chest containing the Hardened Suit mod. Head into the room to the left of the escape hatch and interact with the reddish-orange machine just ahead of you to unlock a cartridge holder. At this point, the Solar Power Plant should be 63% complete. Make sure to go into the room to the right of the blue chest as well to grab an upgrade component.

Before moving on, we recommend using the escape hatch to go back to the Shelter to upgrade your equipment, gift Diana the REM that you found, and equip the Hardened Suit mod. Once you’re ready to go back, head to the tram and ride it to the Main Control Lobby station.

Head through the door into Area 1, as marked by the large Area 1 sign on the floor. Follow the path ahead where you’ll find the Decode hacking node. This node will make it so that enemies take more damage if you pass through it on a hack. It’s important to note that this node will only have three uses, but similar to the other weapons, you can pick up more uses as a drop.

Continue along the path, defeating the enemy along the way. Go up the elevator on your left where you’ll find a Mini Cabin figure and an upgrade component. On the wall opposite of the upgrade component, there will be a glitchy wall, which is a holo-wall. Interact with it to reveal a secret room that contains a file and the Crayons REM.

Otherwise, go into the large circular room and hack the terminal to ascend to the next floor. Shortly after, a few enemies will appear. Hack them and use your weapons leisurely to defeat them as there is a lot of ammo on the top floor, but that’s partly because there’s a boss fight coming up. After you’ve defeated them, hack the terminal in the center again and grab any ammo you need on the next floor.

Once you’re locked and loaded, interact with the control panel, which will start a cutscene leading to the SectorGuard boss fight.

As soon as the fight begins, the SectorGuard will quickly dash at you twice. There is little time to hack while they’re dashing, so it’s best to dodge out of their path to avoid getting hit. Once they’re stationary, hack them and shoot the open pod on their back as it’s their weak spot and you’ll deal extra damage. It’s best to get up close and use the shockwave gun as it’ll hit multiple times and do a ton of damage at once.

A man carrying girl on his back standing in front of red circles on the floor and a downed robot with a purple ring around them.
Graphic: Johnny Yu/gamexplore | Source images: Capcom via gamexplore

From here, avoid the red circles on the floor to steer clear of their rockets and repeat the process until you take out around half of their health. Diana will then teach you about Overdrive Protocol, which will immobile nearby enemies and damage them. Use it and go behind them to shoot their weak spot. Occasionally, throughout the battle, you’ll down the boss, allowing you to unleash a Critical Shot by moving up close and interacting with them. Whenever the SectorGuard gets downed, make sure to use the Critical Shot, as you’ll be able to quickly defeat the boss.

Continue to dodge the rockets and dashes, shoot their weak spot, and repeat until they’re defeated. Once the battle is over, pick up the Shelter License Key, and return to the Shelter, where you’ll level up your Shelter, unlock the Cabin System and the Mass Production Array.

Interact with the Cabin System and open the Cabin’s Stamp Club. We recommend choosing the square in the bottom row of the second column, as this will unlock a red gate key that you can use in the next sector.

At this point, the Solar Power Plant will still be 63% complete, and, unfortunately, to finish the area you’ll need to progress in the story until you can get rid of those lunafilament spikes scattered around the blocks. Once you can, return to the Generator Entrance.

From the station, head forward and enter the door on the right. Turn right to find a doorway blocked with filament mass. Destroy it and interact with the storage expander inside.

From the station, go to the left and jump over the lasers. Drop down to the elevator, and ride it up to the top. Jump over the railing on your left and destroy the filament on the left.

Drop into the area below to encounter a swarm of enemies. A lot of enemies will come at once, and, after you defeat one, another will take its place. Use your hacking nodes, weapons, and Ordinance Protocol to take them out. After they’ve been defeated, open the chest to get a pure lunum and the safe box.

With those two, the Solar Power Plant should now be 100% complete!
