Capcom will reveal new details about Resident Evil Requiem, the next mainline entry in the nearly 30-year-old survival horror franchise, in a new Resident Evil Showcase this Thursday. The showcase promises brand-new gameplay and other unrevealed details on Requiem.

The new Resident Evil Showcase will be streamed on Capcom’s YouTube and Twitch channels on Jan. 15 at 2 p.m. PST/5 p.m. EST/10 p.m. GMT.

Resident Evil Requiem is the ninth mainline entry in the franchise and stars Grace Ashcroft and Leon S. Kennedy as playable protagonists. The heroes of Requiem will each offer a distinct experience, with Leon “handling business via exhilarating, death-defying action,” while Grace “steels herself through spine-tingling survival horror,” according to Capcom. We have seen much of Leon in action yet, so Capcom may offer a closer look at his action-oriented style.

There’s still plenty to be shown ahead of Resident Evil Requiem‘s February release. In December, Capcom promised more details about the Grace Ashcroft amiibo for the Nintendo Switch 2 edition of the game, and a peek at the upcoming Fortnite collaboration for Requiem. Plus, if Capcom sticks to its long-standing Resident Evil game plan, maybe we’ll finally get a demo for Resident Evil Requiem.

Of course, there’s also a variety of Nintendo Switch 2 ports to talk about: Resident Evil 7 biohazard Gold Edition and Resident Evil Village Gold Edition will also be released on Switch 2 the same day that Resident Evil Requiem drops.

Resident Evil Requiem will be released on Feb. 27, on Nintendo Switch 2, PlayStation 5, Windows PC, and Xbox Series X.
