You can already play the survival sandbox Palworld with a bunch of friends, sure, but what if the game was scaled up to MMO sizes and playable on mobile? Then you’d have Palworld Online, an upcoming officially licensed game being published and developed by Garena, known around here as the former owner of Dauntless and the publisher of the re-released MOBA Heroes of Newerth.
Described in the press release as a reimagining of the PC title with a new narrative setting, original side story elements, and expansion into an MMO ecosystem, Palworld Online will feature many of the hallmarks of the original survivalbox including finding and capturing Pals, building bases, and exploring a seamless open world, only “centered on playing together” with PvE fights and PvP battles, all while promising a mobile-friendly control system that doesn’t sacrifice depth.
More granular details about the upcoming MMO aren’t available yet, including how many players can share the game’s world at once, but it is eyeing a release for sometime later this year. In the meantime, fans are invited into an official Discord and subreddit if they want to follow along.
