Welcome back to another roundup of MMOs and MMO-adjacent multiplayer games you’ve never heard of! And to say that there’s a pretty mixed bag in this edition is… well, it’s pretty obvious for this news series, but this time around it’s almost like a tropical fruit salad. One of those fancy ones.
Evitania Online
Yep, this one’s another idle game: Evitania Online promises “an open world, inspired by classic MMORPGs but without the endless grind.” Players select their chosen class, engage in idle crafting and combat, and follow several skill trees, powering up their character and stable of alts through three “acts” of progression. The game is in early access and is free-to-play on PC and mobile.
Bearbrick Heroes
Are you at all familiar with Bearbricks? We suspect you’re not (and neither were we before now): It’s a line of collectible figurines from Japanese company MediComToy that bring to mind some artsy vinyl toys. Well, there’s an in-development MMO in the works called Bearbrick Heroes that just entered into what reads like it’s in open beta. Gameplay footage from YouTube channel FYX awaits below.
Forever Skies
Finally, we close off things with another multiplayer survival sandbox centered around airships known as Forever Skies, which sees groups of up to four players explore, scavenge, and pilot an airship over an ecologically ruined Earth. This one’s been out since April of last year according to its Steam page, but it’s hit our notice on account of its upcoming release to Xbox consoles as well as its major Final Echoes content update, both of which are due this summer.
