If you track these kinds of things, you might have realized that Shiro Games’ PvP sci-fi sandbox SpaceCraft didn’t make its targeted May 20th early access launch. That’s because the game was delayed right before that release to a new date of June 11th. Which is, by coincidence, this very week. I guess that’s not a “coincidence” so much as a “fact.” (Also, Shiro has been kinda busy with the massive success of Farever.)
Fortunately, it looks as though the launch is actually happening this Thursday. The studio put out a post for the buy-to-play title with a list of all of the content that’ll be present on Day One — and everything coming down the line during the early access test.
Players will be able to jump right in to customize their starship, explore the galaxy with friends, and form their own virtual corporations. However, they’ll have to wait for advanced ship and base building, more progression systems, a deeper storyline, and, uh, space pirates. They’re lazy, those pirates. Always showing up late to every boarding party.
