Hard working and harder drinking. Master craftsman. Quick to fight. Stout of stature and heart, but never one to take lightly. These are some of the hallmarks/tropes of the dwarves, but there aren’t many games that focus solely on them nowadays. At least until the survival sandbox MMO Mithrall makes its debut, anyway.
“Mithrall is a massive sandbox survival game with epic battles, dynamic exploration & real-time conquest. Shape the world, forge your legacy, and dominate in servers of up to 15,000 players in a living, breathing dwarven realm of war, trade, and ancient power.”
This upcoming survival MMO comes from Mithrall Industries, which appears to be an internal team of French developer Anklebreaker Studio. The indie outfit has put out the multiplayer mobile arcade soccer title Kickdom and is also working on a co-op potion shop management game known as Potion Together, though that game looks to have disappeared, or is at least delisted from Steam despite links on the game’s site suggesting otherwise.
As for Mithrall, players can equip any combination of weapons and armor to customize their playstyle, building above and below ground while claiming and controlling territory and resources. The game also promises PvE monsters and bosses to fight and various PvP clashes to get in to, from small skirmishes to large-scale sieges.
Release timing for this one isn’t tied down yet, but it does have a Steam page available (and functional) for wishlisting along with open requests for an upcoming playtest. Otherwise there’s a gameplay trailer below.
