After the blazing hot Ghost Rider, it’s Peni Parker’s turn to be detailed ahead of Marvel Tōkon: Fighting Souls’ release. As an alternate Peter Parker from another dimension, she pilots a mech called SP//dr as opposed to having her own powers. That doesn’t make her any less dangerous, though, because of her drones.
Drones? Yes, drones. Gadget Launcher can spit out one of eight types randomly, from Spider Racer, which dashes towards enemies, to Spider Sentry and multiple projectiles. Be careful, though, because some of them – like Wheel Bomb – can be used against you if the opponent makes contact first. Perhaps the funniest is Spider Beacon since it brings down a massive mechanical spider on top of an enemy’s head.
Besides the drones, Peni’s Cyber Web can damage and pull enemies towards her for follow-up attacks. Pendulum Web lets her swing towards them, as only a spider mech can, wildly rotating its limbs in the process to deal damage. As for her Tōkon Assemble, it sees her enter the cockpit and clamp it shut for some massive damage.
