Rockstar Games has announced that the November 19th release of Grand Theft Auto 6 will coincide with the launch of Grand Theft Auto 6: The Album – a 34-track collection of original music that has been composed and created for the game. The company describes the tracklist as featuring a “genre-defying roster” of major artists from all over the world.

Grand Theft Auto 6: The Album is available in three forms – CD, Vinyl, and a Limited-Edition Vinyl, priced at $19.98, $49.98, and $124.98, respectively. While Rockstar hasn’t provided a full tracklist for the album, it has confirmed that music by Yung Lean, Travis Scott, CA7RIEL, Paco Amoroso, PinkPantheress, Fred again…, Etienne de Crécy, Morgan Wallen, Rauw Alejandro, and Keith Richards will be included. Some of the songs even include features by artists like Future and Metro Boomin, and production by Guy-Manuel de Homem-Christo.

The difference between the vinyl release and the limited-edition vinyl comes down to the fact that the latter will include a pair of transparent magenta discs filled with blue liquid for a visual flair when the records are spinning on turntables. The limited edition also includes exclusive artwork and packaging design. All three versions of the album are currently available for pre-order through Rockstar’s official website. Music fans who prefer to use streaming services can also find the album available to pre-save on services like Spotify, YouTube Music, and Apple Music, among others.

It is worth noting that the album will feature original tracks created specifically for Grand Theft Auto 6. However, the title will still feature plenty of licensed music, likely playing through its many radio stations. Last month’s Extended Look gave us a glimpse of this, with many songs playing throughout the 26-minute showcase. Among the music played during the video were Love Bites by Def Leppard, Inner Light by Elderbrook and Bob Moses, People Are People by Depeche Mode, and Devil Woman by Cliff Richard.

The Extended Look has seemingly ended up being quite beneficial for both Rockstar as well as Netflix. According to analysts, it led to more than 100,000 new sign-ups for the streaming service in the US alone, making it the third-highest subscriber acquisition for the company this year. The company had confirmed that it managed to garner more than 31 million views in its first week alone, topping the charts in 87 out of 93 countries.

Another report has also indicated that it got fans quite excited, leading to console sales seeing a spike of around 33 percent for PlayStation and 34 percent for Xbox in the UK. However, Newzoo analyst Ronan Patrick has noted that this spike could have been much larger if it weren’t for the price hikes that have been affecting both Sony and Microsoft over the last year.
