Marvel Tōkon: Fighting Souls’ open beta has officially ended, and the overall response has been strong. However, the PC version has seen its share of criticism due to performance and issues like the lack of input buffering. The PlayStation Account requirement also doesn’t help matters, especially given the implementation.

At the very least, developer Arc System Works is aware of “the gameplay and performance issues” affecting the game on PC. “Our team is actively investigating these issues and working on a fix. We’ll share an update as soon as we have more information.”

It had shared some community fixes such as turning off Frame Generation in the Nvidia App when using DLSS or disabling the App’s Overlay. Those who have run into issues when recording or streaming are also advised to disable Discord Overlay, Steam Game Recording and other recording software.

There are also some details regarding an Anti-Cheat Error that players kept encountering when booting the game, but these should be resolved by the August 6th launch. Suffice to say, though, that all of this has soured the mood for PC players who were looking forward to the beta, especially since Arc System Works has been generally quite good with its PC ports.

Time will tell, so stay tuned for updates. In the meantime, check out our feature on everything you should know about Marvel Tōkon: Fighting Souls. You can also check out the opening here, which channels the classic anime of yore, right down to the theme.
