In what’s quite an interesting addition to Season 9.5 of Marvel Rivals, Vanguard players get to step into the shoes of an antagonist who brings some serious firepower to the battlefield.
Parker Robbins, aka The Hood, grew up in The Kingpin’s shadow, and Fisk’s gradual erosion of his father’s integrity and his mother’s declining health meant that he entered the criminal world early. But a fateful encounter with a demon gave him a hood and boots that let him harness powers, which, of course, he turned into his main means of achieving selfish motives.
He isn’t perfect, but he’s definitely a force to be reckoned with, and the trailer accompanying his announcement has him overwhelming even Captain America’s shield with a barrage of attacks from magic-infused pistols. The cadence of his assault is interchangeable. His specials and Ultimate involve bringing the demon out, and it’s a sight to behold as it rains destruction on those that Robbins calls foes. He’s also able to buff other characters like Cloak and Dagger, for example, so there’s that extra bit of utility to look forward to.
Season 9.5 arrives on August 7 and is bringing The Hood with it. Stay tuned for more details on its content, including new maps and character changes.
