The HyperX Cloud series is one of the longest-running and most respected lines of gaming headsets you’ll find. Revered for its comfort, great-sounding headphones, and quality microphone, its latest iteration remains a fantastic option. What’s more, with a ludicrous 61% discount, this HyperX Cloud III Black Friday deal makes it one of the cheapest quality headsets you can buy right now.

With this very headset currently holding the title of the top wired option on our best gaming headset guide, the HyperX Cloud III is a headset that includes both analog and USB inputs, with the latter getting you access to DTS Spatial Audio virtual surround sound. Meanwhile, its analog connection means this headset can work with not just your PC, but your consoles too, including the PS5 and Xbox X|S.

As you can read about in our HyperX Cloud III review, the reason this headset is so liked is that it simply delivers reliable quality all around. This starts with great comfort, with its earcups having deep and soft memory foam padding and its headband offering a wide range of adjustment to fit all sorts of head sizes.

Next up is its headphone sound quality. Its 53mm drivers are tuned to provide a reasonably flat, accurate sound that lends itself to all sorts of listening, whether you’re looking to optimize your game sound for performance or get the cleanest, accurate listening experience for your music.

Another strong suit is this headset’s microphone. The removable boom mic offers great sound, with a sonic range that outclasses many more premium offerings. The mic even includes a little LED to indicate when you’re muted.

One of my favorite aspects of this headset is the versatile way it connects to your systems. At the end of its main cable is just a 3.5mm analog jack plug that you can use with a powerful headphone amp, mp3 player, PC sound card, or whatever other analog outputs you might have. But also included is a jack-to-USB-C adapter, giving you the ability to connect directly to a PC that doesn’t have an analog output. Then, the finishing touch is a USB-C to USB-A adapter that ensures you won’t be caught short unable to connect to an old PC with only USB-A sockets, for instance.

The only two downsides to note with this headset are that the main cable is tethered, rather than removable, so if it breaks, it will put the headset out of action. The other factor is that this deal is only available on the light gray and red version pictured here. If you prefer black or just don’t like the styling of this model, you’re out of luck.

Otherwise, though, for just $39, this is an incredibly good deal. This is a headset with an MSRP of $99.99 that somewhat regularly gets discounted to $69.99. To drop a further $30 is unheard of – it’s the cheapest I’ve ever seen it.

To grab this deal, just head on over to Walmart via this link. No coupons or other hoops to jump through are required, but you’ll probably need to be quick to grab one before they sell out at this price.
