Dungeons of Eternity dropped a new update just in time for Halloween. The Monster Mash update brings the popular Stormgrave realm back permanently alongside new Halloween-themed content.

Developer Othergate could have stopped at September’s Tomb Extraction update and called that this year’s spooky season content drop as the new realm type definitely fit the spirit of the season, but instead the team refused to rest on its laurels and dropped a proper Halloween update.

Here’s a rundown of the highlights:

  • The Stormgrave realm returns, this time for good. By popular demand, the rain and lightning-riddled realm is available permanently. With it comes a new chamber style, Deadwood Forest, filled with huge dead trees casting shadows over tombs and graveyards.
  • The lobby and main menu get a Deadwood Forest-themed makeover.
  • New monsters: the vampire is a miniboss in the Stormgrave realm, mummies replace the zombies in Sandstorm, and pumpkin head skeletons will run you down and explode into cluster bombs.
  • The Keep chambers have several new variants added.
  • A new Halloween Cosmetics Bundle DLC includes appropriately themed headpieces, accent colors, and wing cosmetics. It is priced at $6.99.
  • Celebrating Dungeons of Eternity’s third birthday, every player will receive a one, two, or three year trophy in their room depending on how long they have been playing.
  • A new potion chest has been added to better organize your inventory between dungeon runs.
  • Weapons can now be traded with other players in the vendor area of the outpost.
  • If you fall into a pit, you now have to be pulled back up by a teammate. If they feel nice enough to do so.
  • A teleporter has been added to the Outpost to move you from the Vendor area to the Crypt and back.
