Control Resonant has been out for only a day, but Remedy Entertainment already has plans for the near future. It kicks off with New Game++ in October, and for those confused because the base game already features New Game+, this essentially allows for continuous new runs. The developer even outright says, “Do 665 runs if you want!”
How much higher things will scale remains to be seen, but you’ll still need to unlock all the traversal abilities, just like before. Regardless, this should help unlock other abilities from the same Resonant and use them in the same kit, whether they synergize well or not.
Of course, that’s not all, as Photo Mode is due in November. Remedy says it’s “cooking for a while” and it even “consulted some talented virtual photographers from the community to help us make it the best it can be.” The only reason it wasn’t available at launch is that the team “needed to prioritize making sure the game was in the best possible shape.”
Beyond the above two features, it’s adding more cosmetics for Dylan in future updates. There’s currently no ETA on the same, however.
Stay tuned for more details, including dates on these updates, closer to their release. Control Resonant is available for Xbox Series X/S, PS5, and PC, and seems to have landed relatively well among critics and players. On Steam, it’s currently rated “Very Positive” based on 1,787 user reviews, with 87 percent recommending the title.
On Metacritic, it has an 83 Metascore based on 71 reviews, placing it in the “Generally Favorable” category. Head here to check out our thoughts.
