The newest DLC for Borderlands 4 – Bounty Pack 4: Murders and Acquisition – is out now on PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X/S. The DLC, which features new narrative content and gear, is priced at $5.99 and revolves around two feuding factions of Rippers in the Toxic Scowl. The cosmetic gear set – Bounty Pack 4: Vault Card 4 – is also available for $5.99, and introduces desert-themed items and gear.

Picking up Bounty Pack 4: Murders and Acquisitions either on its own or through the Deluxe or Super Deluxe Editions of Borderlands 4 will open up the repeatable mission to players after they first meet Levaine in Carcadia Burn. An interactive crate of mushrooms that kicks off the mission can then be found near any Bounty Board in the game’s hub areas, and will be marked on the ECHO map.

Completing the DLC’s mission unlocks a new skin usable by all Vault Hunters, a vehicle, and an ECHO-4 Drone skin. A new boss and three new minibosses also become available to farm in the Toxic Scowl for a new set of gear, including a new Pearlescent-tier weapon – the PRISM Jakobs sniper rifle. The weapon empowers ricocheting shots with random elemental damage. Landing consecutive critical shots also has added benefits, since it will spawn additional projectiles.

The bosses can also drop six new pieces of Legendary-tier gear – the Silver Sliver Daedalus pistol, the Overconsumption Tediore pistol, the Plump Bob Ripper shotgun, the Hydrowerks Torgue shield, the Oxidation Vladof repkit, and the Loiter Sploiter Torgue heavy weapon ordnance. Each one of these features its own unique effects. The Silver Sliver, for instance, puts a stacking debuff on enemies that makes them take more damage.

Along with cosmetic items, Bounty Pack 4: Vault Card 4 also includes four new rerollable pieces of Legendary-tier gear: the Divided Glow Order assault rifle, the Eradication Vladof assault rifle, the Stealth & Seek Maliwan sniper rifle, and the Pressure Kettle Daedalus grenade ordnance. These weapons accompany 1 unique head for each base game Vault Hunter, 4 Vault Hunter skins, 5 Weapon skins, 5 Vehicle skins, 4 ECHO-4 Drone skins, and 2 ECHO-4 attachments.

The next major release for Borderlands 4 will take place on September 10th, and will involve quite a bit of content. Among these are Story Pack 2: FL4K and the Last Resort, Loveless the Hacker, and both parts of Bounty Pack 5. The content drop will be accompanied by update version 1.10, more details about which will be revealed as we get closer to the release date.

The previous major content drop was Bounty Pack 3: A Zane to Kill For, which was released last month. The DLC was released alongside a free game update that introduced a host of new content, including a raid dubbed The Takedown at Hadron Abyss, which introduced the Hadron Abyss as an entirely new zone to Borderlands 4. While the raid has plenty of fights to engage in, it culminates in players taking on the Child of Terramorphus.
