Horror games are entering a bold new era. With more powerful hardware and increasingly ambitious developers, the genre is expanding far beyond simple jump scares into deeply psychological, cinematic, and mechanically inventive territory. From atmospheric slow burns and survival horror revivals to co-op chaos and narrative-driven nightmares, 2026 and beyond is stacked with plenty of games that are worth looking out for.
