MXGP 26 Gets New Pre-Order Trailer Ahead of October 1st Launch

Nacon has released a brand-new trailer for the upcoming bike racing game MXGP 26. Ahead of the title’s October 1st release on PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X/S, the new trailer is a push by the company to promote pre-ordering by showing off some of the in-game visuals and gameplay across various races. The trailer clocks in at under a minute in length, and you can check it out below.

One of the key things showcased in the trailer is the massive jump in visual fidelity players will see over the previous entry – MXGP 2024 – The Official Game. With developer Artefacts Studio having spent the last year transitioning over from the KT Engine to Unreal Engine 5, the trailer gives us a look at what has been described as “THE new feature” of the upcoming racing title – dynamic deformation.

When MXGP 26 was announced back in July, Nacon and Artefacts Studio had spoken about how the new engine will allow for enhanced visuals that range from weather having more of an impact on the race itself, to things like the dirt track’s mud getting deformed depending on the racing lines picked by the riders.

MXGP 26 is set to feature content from across the official 2026 motocross season, including tracks like Argentina’s Bariloche, Sardinia’s Riola Sardo, and Italy’s Pietramurata. The fact that these tracks all have a variety of surfaces will also play a major role. Bariloche, for example, has volcanic soil, while Pietramurata is covered with compact dirt. These factors will necessitate players changing up their approaches to the various races. Riders will be available from across MXGP and MX2 categories, like Romain Febvre, Maxime Renaux, Kay de Wolf, and Calvin Vlaanderen.

The motocross racing game was unveiled with a trailer that also gave us a look at some of the new physics in the game, as well as giving us a small glimpse at the various visual enhancements and terrain deformation.

A comprehensive editor will also be available for players who like to customize and fine-tune the appearance of their bikes and riders. Players can even slap on parts and graphics from real-world manufacturers like KTM, Kawasaki, and Honda. Fox Racing, Alpinestar, and Airoh will also be represented through the various gear available in the game.

MXGP 26 will feature a comprehensive set of game modes split into three categories – Grand Prix, Championship, and Time Attack. Grand Prix will be a quick way to get into a race, while Championship will task players with winning events across a longer series of races across different tracks. A free-roam arena dubbed The Compound will also be available where players can test out their bikes and tuning changes. There is currently no word on whether a career mode is included in the title. However, players might end up being happy with Championship mode by itself.

On the multiplayer side of things, MXGP 26 will feature events with up to 10 riders, and players will get plenty of chances to showcase their customization skills since other racers will get to see you ride off in front through all the mud and dirt.
