Despite the fact that it has become synonymous with video game movement that treats actual movement like a loose suggestion, parkour is a real thing. It is a system for getting from point A to point B using the urban landscape as a series of stepping stones, which means SkyRen is a perfect parkour game if point A is saying “huh” and point B is saying “what.” See, it’s an anime-themed racing MMO that is using AI to generate its art and music!

Parkour!

The title’s Steam page adamantly states that all of the mechanics are hand-crafted but that AI is used to help create art, music, promotional, and community content. There’s also a demo available now if you want to give it a shot and see how the assuredly very hand-made gameplay feels when you engage with it. That is, assuming you didn’t see the “AI art” part and just get from point A (curiosity) to point B (disinterest) in a very straightforward fashion.
