After rumors that it hit the same milestone in its first month, Bit Reactor has officially confirmed that Star Wars Zero Company has sold over one million copies. It’s a bittersweet occasion as the studio recently brought back some furloughed staff who were let go before launch.
Of course, this means the turn-based tactics title has a future. The developer teased “continuous updates”, starting with Patch 1.2 launching next week. Details are sparse, but since the last patch, which went live on September 10th, focused on fixing crashes, stutters, softlocks, and more, we hope the next brings new features.
It might be too early to expect DLC or story expansions, though it wouldn’t be surprising if there’s demand. Given the studio’s XCOM lineage, it would be fitting, especially since the former has been waylaid for who knows how long.
Star Wars Zero Company is available for Xbox Series X/S, PS5, and PC. Check out our review, where we scored it a 9. Despite all the XCOM comparisons, the pace is faster and more aggressive, encouraging players to rely on assists and generate Advantage Points to unleash devastating Ultimates. It’s an approach that’s worked very well and made the game very hard to put down for those who get into it.
