The seventh part of our Resident Evil Requiem walkthrough follows Grace’s escape from the Basement. Finally, she and Emily can leave the Chronic Care Center and make their way through the Courtyard and onto a helicopter. This walkthrough will show you where to find the helicopter key, how to defeat the Blister Borne boss, and how to restart the power distribution units.

Before you set off, it’s important to note that this walkthrough will teach you how to get through Requiem on casual and standard (modern and classic) difficulties.

Here’s how to complete the sixth part of Resident Evil Requiem: Find the helicopter key, defeat the Blister Borne boss, and clear the Water Treatment Plant.

[Ed. note: This guide contains spoilers for Resident Evil Requiem, so continue at your own risk! Feel free to follow along or bookmark this page and come back if you get stuck.]

Get the helicopter key

To escape the Rhodes Hill Chronic Care Center, insert the moon, sun, and star quartz into the front door (you can do so while carrying Emily). If you’d like to explore any areas you’ve missed in the Chronic Care Center, open any locks, collect Mr. Raccoon statues, or buy items at the coin cabinets, do it now. If you’re short of an antique coin, there’s one in the Courtyard, on a white chair down the left staircase.

When you’re ready, walk through the Courtyard and approach the helicopter. Following the cutscene, enter the house. Inside, you’ll find a storage box, a visitor record (file), a note regarding research results (file), and a lot of items you don’t need. You may collect the hourglass on the desk by picking it up and unscrewing it, though it doesn’t have a purpose for the main story. The item you do need to proceed, is a double helix model hidden in a bottle of wine in the VIP Lounge. Twist the bottle until it forms a complete picture, then take out the helix model and place it on the mechanism.

On the lower level, at the Reception, you can find Spencer’s research II (file) and a typewriter. There’s a med injector in the drawer in the northwest corner of the Collection & Testing room, and, in the Private Lab, you’ll find the Grace Ashcroft blood analysis report (file), a Mr. Raccoon statue, and the helicopter key. On the desktop next to the key, press “authorize” to open the locked door and escape.

After the cutscene in the Control Room, run back to Collecting & Testing. There’s an uncomfortable amount of zombies here, but there’s an easy way to defeat them. See the disposal tank on the wall to your right? Grab it and spray it on the zombies. They will instantly wither away. The map below shows your escape route and marks the disposal tank locations.

Keep following the emergency exit route, but beware that mutated zombies will spawn on your path. Try to run past them and shoot them only to keep them off. When you run upstairs, stick to the left to avoid the crate rolling your way, and when you approach the window outside, beware of the zombie trying to grab you from the right. Approach the helicopter to end this part of Resident Evil Requiem.

Blister Borne boss fight

Playing as Leon, grab the rifle ammo in the windowsill and shoot the zombies coming after Grace. When she runs on, proceed to the balcony (there’s more ammo here, on the table). You’ll have a clear view of the Chapel door — as soon as Grace appears, start sniping the zombies trying to grab her, but avoid the red explosive until Grace is out of range.

As zombies may attack Grace before you’ve fully reloaded your weapon, be ready to cancel the reloading process if needed. After Grace heads inside the Chapel, stay on the roof for a little bit as there is a Mr. Raccoon hidden outside of the map. Return to the first set of stairs and equip your sniper rifle. Use your scope to zoom into the furthest light in the distance to find a dancing Mr. Raccoon. Once that’s done, return to the balcony and drop down to the cemetery. Make sure to grab the handgun, sniper, and shotgun ammo before you follow Grace inside.

To kill Resident Evil Requiem‘s Blister Borne boss, hit the yellow blisters. You can also throw the red explosives (one on the ground floor and one atop the stairs) and grab a hand grenade and med injector from the small chest — it’s directly behind you as you jump down from the ledge. Minor zombies will spawn as well, but they may drop ammo or throwable axes upon defeat.

Restart the power distribution units

Upon switching back to Grace at the Water Treatment Plant, simply follow the path until you reach the Storage Bay with the typewriter. You can collect a transfusion bag (100), a med injector, five 12.7x55mm ammo, and the roof hatch manual (file) here. When you’re ready, walk back without Emily and attempt to turn on the generator (marked with an exclamation point on the map below), only to find out that you can’t. Instead, drop down the ladder in the north.

The Girl will come your way, so wait at the elevator until she turns around, then sneak behind her toward the Storage Area in the north. Take note of the lamp with the faint green glow (marked with a star on the map); as soon as you approach the first power distribution unit, The Girl will enter this room, but you can activate the lamp to burn her, then use the power distribution unit to turn on the light. From now on, the Storage Area is safe.

Next, move from the Storage Area to Chemical Treatment. The Girl will spawn on the west side of Sedimentation, so she shouldn’t bother you yet. As soon as you pull the second power distribution unit, however, The Girl drops through the ceiling while you struggle with a stuck lever.

The best way to handle this is to either shoot The Girl with the Requiem or throw a molotov cocktail. Luckily, there’s one on the table right beside you (see picture below). This should stagger The Girl long enough for you to activate the power distributor.

For the third power distribution unit, you must go to the Control Room in the west. You can try to be sneaky, but it seems that The Girl will always jump in front of or behind you, so be ready to shoot her with Requiem or (if no other option) run back into the light (Storage Area or Chemical Treatment). Once you reach the Control Room, move into the Filing Room to the north to collect a lever.

When you approach the power distribution unit, The Girl will grab and throw you across the room; you must either shoot her with Requiem or shake her off by running into the light again. Jam the lever into the power unit when you get the chance, and pull it to fully restore power at the Water Treatment Plant.

Take the elevator up. The Girl will chase you as you approach the hatch mechanism, but you can use this light to burn her:

Push the buttons to (finally) get rid of The Girl once and for all. Return to Emily to start a cutscene (whether Leon shoots or not doesn’t change the outcome). In our next Resident Evil Requiem walkthrough, we’ll follow Leon through Raccoon City.
