Generally speaking, playing golf isn’t an illegal activity, particularly if you’re on a proper course. But what if your golf club membership is revoked but you and your friends still want to play a few holes? That’s where Really Illegal Golf comes into play, a new multiplayer game from developer Pushlab Games and publisher No More Robots.
“So how does golf become illegal? By getting your golf club membership revoked, of course. With your ban on the golf course, paired with a burning desire to play, you and your friends will do just about anything to get a few games in. I guess you could say, you like big putts and you cannot lie.”
Really Illegal Golf tasks players with navigating golf courses, obstacles, and security like guards and CCTV cameras, all while attempting to play a semi-normal round of golf. That said, there are also devices that players can use in order to clear obstacles, while the courses themselves look to get more and more wild and challenging, including some play on an active military base.
The game is heading for a full release sometime in the first quarter of next year, but those who are intrigued by the premise can get a taste with a free single-player and multiplayer demo. Otherwise you can check out the announcement trailer below to watch this wild one in action.
