Oh, Ragnarok Online. How often will you have different versions of yourself like some sort of multiversal entity? At least one more, it would seem, as the studio Gravity has officially unveiled Ragnarok Universe, an upcoming 3-D open world that can be fully played in a web browser.
“Powered by HTML5 technology, Ragnarok Universe delivers a seamless 3D open-world MMORPG experience that can be played instantly through a web browser on PC, tablet, or mobile devices without requiring a client download, making the game highly accessible across multiple platforms.”
There are not many more details about the upcoming game beyond the fact that it exists, that Gravity plans to hold its first technical test for the MMO this July, and that a Discord server is now open for those who want to follow along and hope to get a spot in said test. There’s also an announcement trailer that suggests party play but also some PvP arena activity, all while looking like it was animated with AI (which, if that’s the case, ew). Either way, it can be seen below.
