If you’re looking to bag a big and brilliant Bluetooth speaker in this Black Friday sale, then this JBL Charge 6 deal is for you. Packing masses of sonic power in a rugged and waterproof design, this chunky speaker gets you 28 hours of listening while also providing the ability to charge your phone and other devices, too.

As one of the best Bluetooth speakers I’ve tested, the Charge 6 stands out from the crowd thanks to its balance of power and portability. While more compact speakers, such as JBL’s own Flip 7, which you can read about in my Flip 7 review, are great for travel and for more intimate listening situations, the Charge 6 can turn its hand to poolside parties, beach days, or just filling your kitchen with tunes.

Measuring 9.0 x 3.9 x 3.7 inches (22.9 x 9.9 x 9.4cm) and weighing 2.1lbs (0.96kg), this Charge 6 might not fit in a jacket pocket, but it’s still a decently portable unit that includes two strap points for easily attaching a shoulder strap (a small single-hand carry strap is included). It’s also built with a rugged exterior that includes thick rubber bump stops on the ends and a protective, scratch-hiding fabric.

What’s more, this speaker is completely water and dustproof, with it rated to IP67. That means it can survive in over 1m of water and, dust isn’t going to get into this speaker at all.

That’s despite this speaker including controls on the top for volume and play/pause, and it having a USB-C port for topping up both the Charge 6 your other devices. You’ll have to make sure you wash it down (and dry it) before trying to plug anything into that port, though.

Available in a huge range of colors, including black, red, white, and camo, the Charge 6 is also a speaker that can stand out or sit in the background.

With a powerful 30W woofer and 15W tweeter that together can deliver sound across a frequency range of 56-20,000Hz, this speaker packs a serious punch, even if, like most Bluetooth speakers, it’s only mono. In comparison, while a smaller speaker like the Flip 7 can boast a seemingly comparable frequency range of 60-20,000Hz, in practice, the Charge 6 blows it out of the water for volume and bass power, in my experience. It’s not going to compete with dedicated floor-standing party Bluetooth speakers, such as the JBL PartyBox range, but those aren’t going to fit in your backpack, either.

Normally priced at $199.95, with today’s early Black Friday discount, you can grab the Charge 6 for just $129.95. That’s a massive $70 or 35% saving that makes this speaker the cheapest it has ever been on Amazon (the deal is also available in several other stores). Just follow this link to grab one now, while stock lasts.

Meanwhile, if you’re in the UK, a similar discount is also available from stores such as Amazon, with the normally £170 speaker now available for just £99.
