Welcome back to another roundup of MMOs and MMO-adjacent multiplayer games you’ve never heard of! This time around, it’s pretty much all about war. Lots and lots of war. So much internet warring going on, you guys.

Stardust Exile

We’ll begin with something of an update to Stardust Exile, a sci-fi MMORTS that we spotlighted last August. Specifically, the game now has a web client that lets players hop into the game from a browser without having to install or download anything. Handy for those who want to lord over the Milky Way.

Mortumus

Next up is an indie gankbox MMORPG known as Mortumus. The game hangs its hat on full-loot FFA PvP with no safe zones whatsoever, though it also promises level mitigation mechanics that will keep fights fair. Progress is admitted to be slow by the devs of the project, but they have put out a new video to show off their work.

Iverian Wars

Would you prefer to have your PvP MMORPG feature a factional bent instead? Then the recently released Iverian Wars: Craxion vs. Defugel might be for you. This free-to-play MMO from Zemi Interactive that’s based on the 4Story IP promises lots of small and large-scale brawling, an open character building system, and action combat that also includes the ability to find hidden skills. The studio heralded its initial early access launch as a success with an onrush of players, though that number has unsurprisingly tailed off.

Triad Wars Revived

Does anyone here recall Triad Wars? It was a modern day MMO spin-off of the single-player action game Sleeping Dogs that saw players fight each other as rival gangs in Hong Kong. The game was in beta back in 2015 but never left that phase of development as it was sunset a year later. Well, one fan is bringing it back and has it mostly functioning after six months of work. Interested fans can follow the project’s progress here.
