I know, I know, another single-player game touting its MMO cred. At least hear it out before you crash out in the comments, OK? This one is called Don’t Lose Aggro, and you might remember it from when we first covered it last summer. It’s rolling into early access in a month.

“Don’t Lose Aggro, the single-player action roguelite inspired by MMO raids but without the hassle of time and guild commitments, enters into Early Access on Wednesday, April 15, 2026 for PC via Steam,” solo developer Oren Koren has announced. Generally, you might think that a single-player action roguelite inspired by MMO raids would be called an RPG, perhaps even a party-based RPG. We have a genre for games like that!

But this one, like other games in the Erenshor class of titles like this, does have some mechanics we’d consider core to the MMO, like proper tanking through which you “master cooldown rotation” and manage aggro. In fact, you could almost consider this game a tanking training sim.

“Don’t Lose Aggro is both my love letter to tanking, as well as my take in creating a safe practicing environment for people to explore tanking without the usual fear and anxiety,” Koren says. “My goal is to help solve key issues that exist within MMO tanking by providing a low-risk setting where everyone can gain the confidence to give the role a try, while offering those who have grown out of the genre a chance to relive the thrill of tanking without the time commitments or rigorous raid schedules.”

See, in that light, it’s kinda wholesome and not even a bad idea.
