Sure, there are a lot of options for your smaller multiplayer adventuring needs, but sometimes, you just want to transform into a lil guy and wave a weapon around at other, slightly more menacing lil guys. Well then your ship has arrived because Scramble Knights Online, one of the titles that was part of this latest Steam Next Fest and a game that we’ve reported on previously, is now officially available in early access.
Described by developer Funktronic Labs as “an ambitious MMO-lite where players quest with friends as knights-in-trainning to challenge dungeons and slay bosses,” Scramble Knights lets players team up together in the colorful realm of Tolcott, where they’ll find PvE dungeons and challenges, take on quests, and generally rumble around in a co-op world, though there is opt-in factional PvP for those who want to, while progression involves crafting items or finding sweet loot drops.
As for the game’s early access run, Funktronic already has a partial development roadmap outlines, with a focus on bug fixing, balance, and stability through the month of November, followed by the game’s first major content update, Island Odyssey, in December, which promises two-star quests, new bosses, and new gear. Three-star quests are also roughly planned for the first quarter of 2027, but that reads more like an aspiration than any firm plan.
Buying in to early access will set players back $13, but there is a 25% launch discount available until Monday, November 9th, that makes the game just under $10. If you’re looking for a little more color and cute in your medium-ly multiplayer diet, then check out the gameplay video below.
