Crimson Desert Requires 150 GB Space on PC, Ultra 4K Requirements Revealed

If it wasn’t enough to highlight its performance on consoles, Pearl Abyss’s Crimson Desert has received its final PC requirements. First of all, you’ll need 150 GB of installation space on a solid-state drive, Windows 10 64-bit and 16 GB of RAM across the board.

With the minimum required hardware, you’ll net an upscaled 1080p resolution (from 900p) and 30 FPS while at the lowest graphical preset. Low is a notch higher, providing native 1080p/30 FPS, while Recommended delivers 1080p/30 FPS or 4K/30 FPS at Medium settings. Those who can meet the High requirements can run the game at 1440/60 FPS, while Ultra delivers 4K/60 FPS.

Overall, it seems pretty well-optimised and doesn’t seem to factor in any upscaling (which Pearl Abyss touted several weeks prior). It stands to reason that you could enable it and thus net even better performance. Based on everything seen thus far – including Digital Foundry’s recent preview – Crimson Desert looks to be an absolutely gorgeous experience on PC regardless of your settings.

It’s available on March 19th for Xbox Series X/S, PS5, and PC. For all the latest details and what you should know before picking it up, check out our features here and here.
