Have you wondered where Grimir vanished to when you’re trying to make your way through Crimson Desert’s narrative to the point where you received the Kuku Pot? Or perhaps your efforts to find the Frost and Flame elementals after the Spire of Ringing Truth have ground to a halt because Ether’s Rest has you running in circles for a Power Core?
You’ll be pleased to know that things are okay now, as Pearl Abyss’s latest hotfix is aimed at fixing precisely those issues. It’s also addressing a bug where items you found for the first time weren’t appearing as icons on the game’s map, an issue that could interfere with early-game farming runs. It’s live across all the game’s playable platforms, except Mac, where it’s expected at a later date that’s currently undisclosed.
This one joins a long list that has had us quite impressed with how the studio continues to support the base game even as it gears up to release Charting the Unknown on October 15th. It’s a cadence we’ve rarely seen in our many years enjoying the greatest games around. Pywel’s standing tall, and it looks like it’s got a lot more to offer over the next few months.
