Crimson Desert Has Generated Over $200 Million in Revenue Since Launch – Rumor

As Crimson Desert reaches four million sales and is inching ever closer to five million, as Pearl Abyss recently confirmed, its success has proven quite interesting. When the initial reviews went live, the company’s stock prices tumbled, only to surge shortly after, thanks to sales.

However, before it was even released, it reportedly generated over $20 million in revenue from pre-orders alone, according to Alinea Analytics. The firm is now claiming that it earned over $200 million in revenue across all platforms, with the PlayStation 5 version seemingly leading the pack at nearly $75 million.

It also alleged overlap with another big open-world sandbox title – Dragon’s Dogma 2. Apparently, 38 percent of Crimson Desert players on PS5 have also played Capcom’s action RPG (once again, despite the lackluster story). Other notable game they’ve apparently also experienced include Assassin’s Creed Shadows and Clair Obscur: Expedition 33, so make of that what you will.

Of course, it doesn’t hurt that the game performs well on PS5 (and PS5 Pro). Check out our review for more details. Crimson Desert is also available on PC and Xbox Series X/S. You can read our review of the PC version here, which we also praised for its optimization and fidelity.
