Do you ever wonder if people living a thousand years ago couldn’t wait until someone made a video game out of their existence? Push all of those strange thoughts to the side, my friend, because medieval survival RPG Bellwright just launched on consoles and has no such time for idle speculation!
Indeed, Bellwright launched on Xbox Series and PlayStation 5 consoles yesterday with the full version of the game, including the new Halmare Isles map. This release comes after studio Donkey Crew – backed by Snail Games – sold a million copies through Steam over the past couple years.
“This console edition of Bellwright has been optimized for big screen play with dedicated gamepad support. Offering new controls, this is the most accessible Bellwright has ever been, ensuring that console players can immediately get fully immersed in the world of Karvenia,” the press release said.
Readers will recall that Donkey Crew is best known in the MMORPG genre for its apparent mishandling of woodpunk MMORPG Last Oasis, which has now lingered in early access for over six years with minimal updates for most of them, though it did finally push out season 6 in 2026 after teasing it for two years.
