VR Shooter-Smasher Harpagun Begins Early Access Next Week On Quest

Harpagun, a brand new shooter-smasher VR arcade recreation, launches in early entry subsequent week on Quest.

Developed by Polish studio One thing Random, a studio whose current works embody Survivors of Xcalibur and Toy Trains, we first discovered about Harpagun again in September. As a ‘space-junker-in-training’ stranded on a distant planet, your objective includes escaping this harmful place whereas wild creatures search to kill you at each flip.

Armed with a gravity gun that can be utilized on enemies, gadgets, and the surroundings, you have bought numerous weapons to select from, together with machine weapons, bouncing lasers and “dwelling” grenade launchers. These ranges additionally fluctuate between “forests, fields, farming villages, a desolated cosmodrome, high-rise cities and even huge undergrounds creeping with alien life.”

In early entry, One thing Random confirms Harpagun options “a portion” of the marketing campaign mode, two fight arenas and an arcade mode. Whereas a timeframe for added updates is not clear, the studio states that it plans to broaden with new ranges, bosses, and extra gameplay modes.

Harpagun enters early entry on February 13 on the Meta Quest platform, and a Steam demo stays obtainable. PC VR, PlayStation VR2 and Pico ports will observe “at a later date.”
