Gamescom is where many can play some of the biggest upcoming games, including Eclipse Glow Games’ Tides of Annihilation. It’s part of a larger series of hands-on events planned for the Summer, but for those who can’t be there, the studio has confirmed a new trailer for Opening Night Live on August 25th.
It’s story-focused, which should finally provide some context on what’s happening throughout this epic adventure. All we know is that an invasion from another dimension has hit modern-day London, and Gwendolyn from Arthurian legend, who’s trying to rescue her family, is caught in the middle. The post teases that, “Beneath the throne, embers still burn.” Perhaps we’ll find out how King Arthur fits into all this?
Wherever Gwendolyn goes, she’s accompanied by the Knights of the Round Table, except they exist as spectral warriors who answer her summons in combat. Much like Ender Lilies: Quietus of the Knights, you can set up two separate loadouts to unleash four different Knights in combat at a time. Each apparently has different abilities, further diversifying playstyles.
Tides of Annihilation is coming to Xbox Series X/S, PS5, and PC, but it doesn’t have a release date. This new trailer could finally announce the same and reveal other details, so stay tuned when Opening Night Live airs at 11 AM PST tomorrow.
