The Witcher 3’s New DLC Reportedly Set in Zerrikania, As More Sources Corroborate Its Existence

Who could have guessed that 2026 would begin with not only more rumors about The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt’s alleged new DLC but from multiple sources? Following statements by Polish games insider Borys Nieśpielak and Noble Securities analyst Mateusz Chrzanowski (who both recently double-downed), IGN Poland dropped a bombshell: It’s known about the alleged DLC for “a very long time.”

The story reportedly unfolds in Zerrikania, a region east of Nilfgaard and the Northern Kingdoms, where dragon cults and warrior folk reside. However, the site notes that this may have changed, and it could now be Kovir, the former earldom of Redania, or Poviss, which forms a kingdom alongside the former.

As for why the site didn’t report on this before, it’s apparently because the information originated from only one source (who’s seemingly credible but still). If that isn’t enough, PPE also confirmed hearing about this “new Wild Hunt project” from its own sources, years prior. “We were clearly told in the first half of 2025 that The Witcher 3 would receive new, major content ‘that we will love.’”

This only adds further fuel to my theory that the DLC was to ship alongside The Witcher 3’s “final patch.” With the latter now launching this year, it’s seemingly only a matter of time before CD Projekt RED makes an official announcement.

Whether that happens or not, its parent company has already promised to release some “new content” this year. Cyberpunk 2077 fans craving New Game+ or a third-person camera, keep those dreams alive.
