What’s the only thing better than playing a great game? Playing it for free! This weekend, three PC games on Steam are having free trial periods.

First up is The Riftbreaker. It combines several elements into one great game: base-building, survival, and hack-and-slash action-RPG gameplay. You can play it solo or co-op with up to four players, taking on hordes of foes. You’ll be able to customize not just your base on The Riftbreaker‘s hostile alien world, but your gameplay experience as well. According to the official game description, “You can change the frequency of enemy attacks as well as their strength and numbers, resource abundance, weather events, enemy damage, and tons of other settings.” The game also offers a variety of difficulty options to accommodate the level of challenge you’re seeking.

Cities: Skylines is a much-loved city simulation game, based on its nearly 100,000 “Very Positive” reviews on Steam. You’ll construct a city from the ground up and lead it as its mayor. “You’ll be faced with balancing essential requirements such as education, water electricity, police, fire fighting, healthcare and much more,” according to its official game description. Cities: Skylines has robust mod support, meaning you can iterate on others’ work by downloading their created cities.

Parkitect scratches a similar itch to Cities: Skylines, but instead of building cities, you’ll create and manage theme parks. “Construct your own coasters, design an efficiently operating park that fully immerses your guests in its theming and play through the campaign,” reads the game’s description. You can play both its campaign and sandbox modes solo or in a group with up to eight players online. A DLC pack for Parkitect is free to claim during the free trial period as well.

All three of these games are free to play until Monday, March 9 at 1 p.m. EST. Better yet, if you enjoy them, they’re also all on sale, so you can pick them up for cheap to keep playing.

Speaking of what’s free for PC, the Epic Games Store has fresh offerings this week. You can currently pick up add-ons for Idle Champions of the Forgotten Realms or the hilarious Turnip Boy Robs a Bank for no charge.
