Following its latest appearance at State of Play, it seems that pre-loads for Capcom’s Resident Evil Requiem will go live soon. PlayStation Game Size on Twitter, which scours the back-end of the PlayStation Store for details, noted that its download size on PS5 is reportedly 72.88 GB.
As some noted in the replies, this would make it the biggest Resident Evil in terms of installation size yet, and that’s without knowing the Steam size. Resident Evil 4 Remake is currently the record-holder at 67 GB, followed by Resident Evil 2 Remake at 48 GB.
Furthermore, Standard Edition owners for Requiem will apparently be able to pre-load starting on February 25th with a release time of midnight on February 27th. There’s no official word yet on timings, but they should be available soon.
Resident Evil Requiem will be available for Xbox Series X/S, PS5, PC, and Nintendo Switch 2. After Subnautica 2 and Forza Horizon 6, it’s reportedly the most wishlisted title on Steam at 2.5 million. Pre-orders have also been much stronger than Capcom anticipated, contributing to a rise in Capcom’s stock prices.
