Rayman Legends Retold Delayed to December 3rd

Ubisoft’s Rayman Legends Retold, a remake of the beloved 2013 platformer, has been delayed. Instead of launching on October 1st as originally announced, it’s now out on December 3rd. The reason for this, especially with the game already going gold, is that the team wants to take “extra time to make sure every detail gets the care it deserves.”

To help with the wait, a new game overview trailer will be released on September 22nd. It coincides with new hands-on impressions from content creators and media outlets for an updated look. Based on the first round of previews from last June and the latest trailer from Gamescom Opening Night Live, it should be interesting to see if Ubisoft has more surprises in store.

Rayman Legends Retold will be available for Nintendo Switch 2, Xbox Series X/S, PS5, and PC at $39.99. While it’s a remake, players can expect brand-new content including new musical levels (“Can’t Touch This” by M.C. Hammer and “Macarena” by Los Del Rio are two such delights) and a new realm. And while the UbiArt visuals remain stellar, the remake’s visuals feel just as vibrant.

Those who purchase the Deluxe Edition will receive Rayman Origins: Enhanced Edition for free. The latter was also slated to launch on October 1st, but it may have also been delayed as a result.
