It’s been about seven years of development, one of which was early access, but now the time has come for the PvP sandbox Reign of Guilds to exit open development and gleefully skip its way into a full 1.0 release. We’re certain that gankboxes allow for skipping, surely.
The full launch of the sandbox will bring on three different regional servers, all of which will share the same auction house, as well as several game updates that include the end of land taxes, increased quest rewards, new room upgrades for houses, “faster and more predictable” leveling, and an increase in rewards for PvE black zones, among other things. Players are also being reminded that any cash shop currency purchased during early access will be restored, while bought items will be returned.
Readers might recall that shortly after the start of its early access, Reign of Guilds was facing some teething problems and a frustrated playerbase, but the game has since made multiple updates over the last year of early access, not the least of which being the addition of a free trial, which has seen recent Steam user reviews climb to “mostly positive” status. But now, the real game – or at least the completed game – is out now.
