From relative silence to one million downloads for its free demo, Onimusha: Way of the Sword is back in the spotlight and poised to cap off a strong year for Capcom. If you’re still on the fence about which platform to play it on, the official resolution and frame rate for all platforms have been revealed.

Xbox Series X and PS5 run at upscaled 2160p/60 FPS in Performance Mode and 2160p/30-40 FPS in Quality. On Xbox Series S, you’re getting upscaled 1080p/60 FPS and 1080/30-50 FPS in the latter. Keep in mind that the frame rate in Performance could vary in certain scenes.

As for Nintendo Switch 2, TV mode offers upscaled 1080p while Handheld mode runs at upscaled 900p. Both run at 30 FPS, though you can enable Variable Framerate for 30 to 40 FPS.

Minimum requirements on PC include an Intel Core i5-8400 or an AMD Ryzen 3 3100, 16 GB of RAM, and a GeForce GTX 1660 (6GB) or a Radeon RX 5500 XT (8GB). However, you’ll only net 30 FPS at the Low preset. At the highest end, i.e. Ultra, you’ll need the same amount of RAM, a Core i5-12400 or a Ryzen 7 5700 along with an RTX 4070 Ti (12GB) or a Radeon RX 7900 XT (20GB). This will be enough for 60 FPS at Ultra settings and 2160p.

However, all these benchmarks are with DLSS 4.0/FSR 3.1 enabled, and you may still see frame drops during heavier moments. Nvidia DLSS 4.5 is available to provide further performance gains, but there’s no FSR 4.0 support.

Onimusha: Way of the Sword launches on September 25th, so there’s still time for further optimization. Stay tuned for updates until then.
